Kalabrese has been one of the defining figures of Zurich’s club culture for more than two decades. As a producer, live artist, and co-owner of the legendary Club Zukunft, he has left a lasting mark on the Swiss electronic music scene. His music blends house, electronica, and offbeat pop into a warm, playful, and unmistakably unique sound.
In this masterclass, Kalabrese offers intimate insights into his “Rumpel Universe” and creative process. Together with his assistant and musical companion Kayyak, he will create a new track live on stage together with the audience — spontaneous, improvised, and completely open-ended.
Between Ableton sessions, instruments, and personal anecdotes, Kala talks about how songs are created, the emotional stories behind them, and how he deals with creative crises, mental lows, and existential fears. A lively session about music, club culture, and the courage to embrace individuality.
